Hectare – The 'onliner for agriculture' receives growth financing

Updated 10/21/2020
Companies House quotes a share price of £4.25 per share. This is a slight down round where shares are worth 15% less than last round. For the fact that almost £2MM of growth capital was raised, that's easy to get over. And it is all the more attractive to participate again in the upcoming pre-emption round at this lower share price.

As of today, a new entry was made in the UK company register, Companies House, stating that about Seedrs funded startup Hectare recently issued 455k new shares. This increases the total basis of shares to around 3.74 million. The newly issued 455k shares thus correspond to 12% of the total capital of the company. Based on the current share price of GBP 5.0 per share, a new round of funding of approx. £2.3MM should have been completed. Due to the size, we can be curious who this new major investor in Hectare is. It is obvious that it is an institutional investor, for example a venture capital (VC) fund.

From my point of view, this participation is a validation of Hectare's business model, because the new investor will have carried out a detailed due diligence and ultimately confirms the good prospects of the company with his investment.

As of October 2020, Hectare is in 15th place among my largest Seedrs-Investments by current value.
