Seedrs Basics: Use 'Documents' function

Here is a tip on the basics for long-term oriented crowd investors who have been building up for years or decades Seedrs want to invest:

Regularly uses the 'Documents' tab in the various Seedrs Pitches, which can almost always be used to request the pitch deck and sometimes other documents from the startup. I've gotten into the habit of going through all pitches once every 7-14 days and requesting general documents. Even if I don't take part in a round.

Now you're asking 'why is that'? - After the round is completed, no access to the data can be requested afterwards. However, if you want to invest in the startup in a later round or are considering entering the startup via the secondary market, then it is very helpful to have historical data. For example, invest the minimum amount of usually around £/€ 10 via the secondary market and read the latest investor updates on the current status of the startup. Compare this current status with the business plan advertised in the pitch deck at the time.

The request for access can be very brief. My standard is simply "Hi team, please grant me access to the pitch deck/ docs. Best, xxx". This only takes 10 seconds per company.
