Last week, on April 4th 2022, Wombat Invest published details about their Series C capital raise on Companies House:
To date, a total of GBP 3.1MM has been raised as part of the Series C at a share price of GBP 7.35. The new share price represents a share price uplift of 45% compared to the last known share price of GBP 5.06 (September 2021).
Fuel Ventures have been on board as a VC at Wombat Invest for at least two rounds. In my personal portfolio, Wombat used to rank towards the end of my top 10 investments (by value).
Potentially, further capital could be raised as part of Series C ("Second Closing"). For current investors through Seedrs it will be interesting to see if preemption rights can be exercised or whether it was necessary to waive these as part of this new Series C round.
